The Parish of Iberville and some municipalities levy property taxes. Assessors are required by law to assess taxes on improvements of industrial property at 15% of fair market value. Land is assessed at 10%. The Homestead Exemption provides for exemption of property tax on the first $75,000 of assessed value of homes occupied by their owners. |
